Our Values

At The Bluebell Nursery we respect our children and understand that each child has individual wants, needs, and interests. We believe that learning can only be fostered from a feeling of mutual respect, guidance, and direction, and we do our very best to maintain those values in everything we do. Our unique approach supplies our children with the proper support system that will help lead them down the path to success.

Our environment promotes the safety and security of children. The setting is large and open, with access to a secure garden. As we are located just across from Badocks' Wood, the children are also able to enjoy regular walks through the woods. The children are encouraged to safely and respectfully interact with nature and the the public spaces, and we use these experiences in our curriculum planning.

At The Bluebell Nursery, members of our team carry out regular observations with the children in order to track their individual progress, and identify areas in which they may require additional support. We have multiple tools for early intervention with which we can share with families and work together to ensure each child has the best opportunities for learning and development. This is undertaken to allow all of our children can have a smooth and comfortable transition into primary school. As a nursery, we work closely with multiple local schools in order to support the transition.

Life at The Bluebell Nursery

Our child-centred approach allows us to cultivate a safe and accessible environment, where children are encouraged to discuss ideas, collaborate on projects, share their work, and receive feedback from peers and teachers. We support children in building a strong foundation on which they can build on throughout their time in education.

We share an app with parents/carers for families to see updates about their child's day, and their developmental progress.

A High Academic Standard

The academic program at The Bluebell Nursery places an emphasis on every aspect of our children’s growth and development. We take advantage of the natural curiosity children possess by having our teachers present topics in creative ways, and teach through exploratory experiences.

Our general curriculum includes a variety of challenging courses that meet or exceed state requirements. Exceptional, qualified teachers allow The Bluebell Nursery to offer an intimate and inclusive educational environment, while also ensuring each child receives the individualized attention and support they need.
